This is the wine equivalent of University Challenge - only there's no Bamber Gascoigne, the questions are fairly easy, it's a lot of fun, and you don't need to have gone to university. So actually, not much like University Challenge at all.
The format is simple - six great Shiraz from around the world. We send you the case, then we email you game instructions and tasting sheets. You print them out. You invite a few friends around and everyone puts their car keys in the centre of the table. The winner gets to drive the nicest car home (what did you think we meant, you naughty Angels?).
So, in a nutshell, a lot of fun, a lot of frolics, and you learn all about Shiraz. A no brainer if ever there was one.
A wonderful blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre & Carignan grapes from the terroir of Saint Chinian, it packs a punch with rich, awfully silky black cherry and redcurrant fruits, laced with a little spice and a lovely grip in the mouth.
Funny name, you ask? Well, it's the name in Latin for hackberry, a tree that grows well in the region. Benjamin explains: "I love the tree and the name is ringing with my link to Australia." Makes sense to us.
In terms of bang for your buck, it doesn't get much better than this. Trust us.
Two of Chile's finest winemakers, Constanza and Felipe, have teamed up with incredible results. These award winning Chilean superstars make this wine exclusively for us and overdelivered every step of the way!
Like Posh and Becks, Syrah and Malbec are an odd but close to perfect combination. The plummy spiciness of the former is offset by the delicious chocolate and mulberry flavours of the latter, making one big, bold badass wine!
You don't mess around with this. It's prime rib of beef territory. No arguments.
You went nuts for the 2008 / 2009 vintages and it's no surprise you've done the same for the 2010, with 93% of you saying you will happily buy it again!
Shiraz and Viognier are a little bit like the odd couple of the wine world. They shouldn't work together, but they do spectacularly.
Packed full of delicious dark berry, pepper and spice aromas, this is BIG quality for a very reasonable price - thanks to Angel funding
This is made by a lovely guy called Rex, whose family have been handling grapes for over three generations in Orange, New South Wales. You won't find many bottles with as much experience, understanding, love and attention crammed in them than this.
It's genuinely a wonder how he's managed to cram so much spicy, peppery, juicy plum flavours into the one bottle.
It loves, Pizza, craves a leg of lamb, but is fundamentally screaming out for a big juicy steak.
Selected, ordered and priced by our Archangel customers, this ruby red Shiraz is oozing with plum and cherry flavours and has a distinct spicy, peppery tang!
The Melbourne Times have raved about it, our Archangels have raved about it, and we're sure you'll be raving about it too!
Plus if you are an Angel, you get this wine for a steal of a price!
